Qld: Two teenagers questioned over school fires
Police have interviewed two teenage boys after a fire at a Gold Coast high school earlytoday - the eighth arson attack on the school this year.
Gold Coast police Inspector RICK WALL says the boys were detained just after a firebroke out at Helensvale State High School about 3am (AEST) this morning.
Police believe the fire started after a container of flammable liquid was placed outsidea door and lit.
A security guard quickly doused the fire, limiting the damage to scorch marks.
Seven previous arson attacks on the school this year have caused $2.3 million in damage.
An Education Queensland spokeswoman says security at the school has been beefed upto try to prevent further attacks.
