FED: Beazley says Australia must give more to Turkey

Opposition Leader KIM BEAZLEY says Australia must increase what he calls its miserly
donation to Turksih earthquake victims.

The federal government has increased Australia's donation to Turkey to $1.5 million.

But with the death toll now expected to top 40,000, Mr BEAZLEY says Australia must do more.

Mr BEAZLEY's declined to name a figure, but says Australia's aid must be considerably more
than the current offer, and should include medical and other crucial supplies.
